Girls may not return until January 12, but the promotional poster for season 3 reminds viewers of the good times that await us in the new year!
Girls is known for portraying the lives of 20 somethings with a flair for the party-rock lifestyle and the promotional poster is no exception. With beer bottles and pizza thrown about, the girls showcase their characters outlook for season 3. With a tagline that reads “Happily Whatever After,” happy endings are overrated.
In the season 3 trailer, we get a short glimpse of where we find the ladies at the start of season 3. The poster seems to support that further. First up, Marnie appears put together on the outside, however the emotional train-wreck is hiding under a thin layer of yellow tulle.
Shoshanna embraces her newly discovered party girl lifestyle. We can only hope her hair styles continue to look as crazy as they do in the promotional material! Meanwhile, Jessa may continue to cause a bunch of chaos then survey the wreckage around her. This season’s is yet to be seen, but does Jessa ever leave us without a surprise?
Finally, the show’s leading lady, Hannah, appears to have her act together. For now, that is. Hannah starts out in a relationship with her on-again, off-again beau, Adam. From her remarks in the trailer, it seems she is finally letting go of the parts of her life that bring her down and focusing on what matters to her.
Creator, Lena Dunam, comments in a HBO video that she enjoys when fans to take to Twitter with their reactions to the show. It helps her gauge what is working and what viewers are responding to. Make your voices heard! (140 characters at a time that is.) Check it out below:
