HBO offers a peek into Girls season 3 with the synopses for three new episodes airing in March.
The synopses for Girls hint at troubles in the water for Hannah’s love life as well as a career change for more than one of the leading ladies!
Girls season 3, episode 9, “Flo,” airing Sunday, March 2: “Alarmed by Adam’s (Adam Driver) indifference when she fails to come home after a night out with co-workers, Hannah worries that the spark may be gone in their relationship. Marnie (Allison Williams) begins working at Soo Jin’s (Greta Lee) art gallery, though not in the role she expected; later, Desi (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) helps her rediscover her voice. Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) has a surprise for Jessa (Jemima Kirke).”
Girls season 3, episode 10, “I Saw You,” airing Sunday, March 16: “Hannah gets a glimpse of some harsh realities when she invites Elijah (Andrew Rannells) to join her in her quest to complete an unfinished assignment. Jessa searches for a job. Hannah, Shoshanna and Elijah attend Marnie’s open-mic performance.”
Girls season 3, episode 11, “Two Plane Rides,” (season finale) airing Sunday, March 23: ” On the day of Adam’s opening night, Hannah gets news that could change the direction of her career and their relationship. Marnie chooses an inopportune moment to divulge a secret to Shoshanna, who is dealing with her own unexpected news. Jessa’s boss asks for an unusual favor.”
It looks like March is full of twists and turns for everyone. Jessa, whose newly sober observations were a highlight of last week’s episode, loses her way a bit. But Shoshana and Marnie’s futures may prove to redeem their, this far, lagging stories.
But, of course, the honeymoon may be over for Hannah and Adam as their lives start to drift in new, diverging directions.
Girls returns this Sunday, February 23 with season 3, episode 8 “Incidentals” at 10 p.m. ET on HBO
