Cory and Topanga officially have a son.

Newcomer Teo Halm has been cast as Elliott Matthews in the upcoming Boy Meets World sequel, Girl Meets World, according to TVLine.

Halm, who is currently filming the James Franco-directed Bukowski, quickly tweeted the good news to his followers.

Halm will play Cory and Topanga’s 13-year-old son, who is “good looking, well built, funny and insightful in his observations.” Despite his “dedication toward using Riley as his wrestling practice dummy,” Elliott is a good-hearted teenager who may have “inherited the ‘Eric Matthews Algernon’ gene,” so his parents worry he might lose intelligence as time goes on, much like his uncle did.

He joins Rowan Blanchard, who will play lead character Riley Matthews, as the two newest members of the Matthews family.

Update: Danielle Fishel (Topanga) and Ben Savage (Cory) expressed their love for their two new TV kids in tweets Tuesday.

No word yet on whether Rider Strong (Shawn), Will Friedle (Eric) or William Daniels (Mr. Feeny) will make appearances on the new show, but executive producer Michael Jacobs, who also produced Boy Meets World, is open to including familiar faces. Girl Meets World is expected to air on the Disney Channel during the 2013-2014 season, though no date has been set.
