Disney Channel has announced that the highly-anticipated Boy Meets World spinoff Girl Meets World will premiere June 27.
If you can’t wait that long, you’re in luck: Those who use the Watch Disney Channel app can watch the premiere episode beginning May 21.
In addition to the air date announcement, the first proper trailer for Girl Meets World debuted on YouTube this morning. While the first trailer really only had one scene, today’s minute-long look features all of the characters you’ll be seeing on a regular basis.
Girl Meets World follows Riley (played by young actress Rowan Blanchard), the daughter of Cory and Topanga, as she conquers middle school with her friends. Many familiar actors and actresses are expected to appear throughout season 1, including William Daniels (Mr. Feeney), Rider Strong (Shawn Hunter), William Russ (Alan Matthews), Lee Norris (Stuart Minkus), Betsy Randle (Amy Matthews) and Danny McNulty (Harley Keiner.
To get you ready to go for the spinoff, Boy Meets World stars Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel will be hosting a four-hour marathon of the original series Sunday, June 15. It’ll be the perfect opportunity to remember our favorite moments from the show so you can prepare yourself for Girl.
Following the late June premiere, Girl Meets World will air every Friday at 8 p.m. on Disney Channel beginning July 11.
