Ginuwine, Yo La Tengo, Jeff Tweedy of Wilco and The Decemberists have been confirmed to appear in the Parks and Rec finale.

For all its twists and turns (Doppelgängers! Leslie’s out of office! Ann leaves!), season 6 of Parks and Rec suddenly has a very clear path to the season 6 finale. The show has heavily teased the Unity concert celebrating Pawnee and Eagleton’s merger.

Now NBC and showrunner Michael Schur have let slip the full line-up from the inaugural concert.

Most importantly, Tom’s favorite person to ever exist and Donna’s cousin Ginuwine will be taking to the Pawnee stage.

Other heavy-hitters include the previously announced Jeff Tweedy of Wilco, as a Pawnee-famous musician; alt-folk rockers The Decemberists, Letters to Cleo* and Yo La Tengo.

*Mark Rivers, the guy who writes all the music for MouseRat and drums in the band, is a member of Letters to Cleo.

The critically acclaimed Yo La Tengo has a particularly interesting role to play as Schur told the A.V. Club:

“There was a total throwaway joke [in ‘New Slogan’] where Andy discovers Duke Silver and tells Ron, ‘You’re going to play the Unity Concert, I have you on right after Bobby Knight Ranger. It’s a Night Ranger cover band that wears red sweaters,’” said Schur. “One of our writers, Donick Carey, is very good friends with the band Yo La Tengo, who are one of my favorite bands, and he emailed them and said, ‘Hey, do you guys want to play Bobby Knight Ranger?’ And they were, like, ‘Sure!’ So Yo La Tengo makes an appearance as Bobby Knight Ranger, playing ‘Sister Christian.’”

You know you’ve made it as a sitcom when you can get a classic indie band to appear as a Bobby Knight cover band.
