After yesterday’s successful revival of Veronica Mars, thanks to fans contributing over $2 million for the creation of a movie, fans are turning to their other deceased shows and asking for a comeback.

We’ve seen fans pray for revivals of Gilmore Girls, Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Charmed, and many others over the past 24 hours.

Responding to pleas on her official Twitter account, Gilmore Girls star Lauren Graham sent out the following tweet yesterday:

The “Amy” Graham is referring to is Amy Sherman-Palladino, the creator of Gilmore Girls.

Could a Gilmore Girls movie or Gilmore Girls television show revival see the light of day thanks to Kickstarter? Our opinion is yes, but it’s easier said than done. For Veronica Mars, Kristen Bell and Rob Thomas had to hold meetings with Warner Bros. first to get them to agree to make the project a reality if $2 million was raised. It’s not as simple as throwing up a Kickstarter and hoping the money shows up.

Warner Bros. may consider other Kickstarter revival opportunities after the Veronica Mars movie hits theaters and they see sale numbers. Since they own Gilmore Girls, the show could very well be on their list of targets.

Gilmore Girls ran for seven seasons on The WB and eventually The CW. It starred Lauren Graham, Alex Bledel, and Melissa McCarthy.
