October 5, 2000 Gilmore Girls premiered on the now defunct WB network. The tale of the mother-daughter duo and their small town captivated audiences for seven seasons and many, many years after its run.

To celebrate Gilmore Girls day, Netflix took over 200 coffee shops, turning them into Luke’s Diner and giving away free coffee. But the pop-ups are only the tip of the iceberg.
Stars Hollow was always slow to adapt the latest technology and so after 16 years, the official Stars Hollow town website is up and running! Check out all your favorite locations in the town directory, get town updates, and even fill out a complaint for a town meeting!
The site apologizes for the lack of updates citing, “Please excuse any outdated sections of our site as we (Kirk) misplaced the password in 2007. He just found it. We expect to have a fully updated site by November 25th, 2016.”
