At least one star of the original Ghostbusters is returning for the third installment.

Actor Dan Aykroyd, who played Dr. Raymond Stantz in the original 1984 movie, revealed on Tuesday night that he’s currently filming a cameo for the new Ghostbusters starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones.

“On GB set shooting my scene with funny beautiful Kristen Wiig. Lady GB’s are adorable, hilarious, and badass. Exhilarating!” Aykroyd wrote in a now-deleted tweet.

The exact reason for the tweet’s deletion is unclear. The studio may’ve asked him to get rid of it so that they could keep his cameo a surprise, or maybe director Paul Feig is looking to make an announcement himself. Those who’ve been following the project know that Feig has been making many Ghostbusters-related announcements on Twitter in recent weeks.

Aykroyd has been a big supportive of the new Ghostbusters. In June he wrote on his official Facebook page: “Principal photography on GB III has begun. My heart soars for Melissa, Kristen, Kate, Leslie and Paul who are about to have the time of their lives and who also will deliver an exciting, high quality, massive hit movie.”

Ghostbusters opens next year. Feig shared this first look at the cast last week just before San Diego Comic-Con kicked off:

Will Murray make a “surprise” appearance as well? Time will tell! It’d be pretty amazing to see the Ghost-busting ladies standing with two of the originals in a single frame on film.
