The Ghostbusters reboot starring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones has found its leading lady.

Paul Feig is directing the all-new, all-female, all-badass Ghostbusters reboot, and in a new interview with IGN, he’s revealed some minor plot details.

Most interestingly, Feig talked about the dynamic of the group, which consists of two major movie stars (Kristen Wiig and Melissa McCarthy), and two rising stars within the comedy genre (Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones).

Not surprisingly, our point-of-view character will be Kristen Wiig, who Feig notes will, “bring you into the group.”

That suggests she’s probably the newest member of the squad, and might join the others in a similar fashion as Ernie Hudson’s Winston Zeddemore (who joined the Ghostbusters in the first movie, and served as the group’s resident skeptic) did.

Meanwhile, Melissa McCarthy’s character will serve as the leader of the existing Ghostbusters squad, and we imagine she’s probably going to be the one who’ll give Kristen Wiig’s character a hard time.

We already know this comedic team can be absolutely hilarious together, and if you need a reminder, just watch Bridesmaids. Right now. We’ll wait.

Of course because one reboot isn’t enough these days, the Russo Brothers are also working on a new Ghostbusters movie, to star Channing Tatum.

But since the Russo brothers have just signed on to helm the AvengersInfinity Wars, that project is likely a long way off. One Ghostbusters at a time, Hollywood.
