In a new featurette, the ladies of Ghostbusters show off their cool new gadgets for the upcoming film.

The original Ghostbusters had a ton of awesome ghostbusting gadgets, including those infamous proton packs. If you’re cosplaying one of the guys from the original movie, your pack better be screen accurate down to every last detail.

Well, now it looks like a new generation of cosplayers will have their work set out for them, as the ladies of the reboot movie introduce us to all of their new toys.

Director Paul Feig is seen in the opening shot of the featurette, nodding his approval at one of the practical effects we’ll be seeing in the film. He tells us that when we first meet the ladies, they’re a little light on equipment. But as the story progresses, they begin building an array of tech that will help them in the war against the ghosts.

“Why am I operating the untested nuclear laser?” Erin Gilbert (Kristen Wiig) asks.

“You have the longest arms,” Holtzmann (Kate McKinnon) responds.

Aside from telling us what sort of gadgets we can expect in the film, we also get a good look at some hilarious behind-the-scenes moments, including a few bloopers that will, hopefully, be on the DVD/Blu-ray when its released.

Ghostbusters stars Wiig, Leslie Jones, Melissa McCarthy and Kate McKinnon, with Chris Hemsworth, Charles Dance, and Andy Garcia. Several of the original cast members are returning as well, including Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, and Bill Murray.

Our latest bit of news regarding the film is the updated theme song, as performed by Fall Out Boy.

Criticism and outright hatred for the movie continues, but Director Paul Feig wants the “true geeks” to take fandom back from the bullies who have loudly and repeatedly proclaimed their distaste for the reboot, most for no better reason than the all-female leading cast.
