Gates of Stone by Angus Macallan follows the story of an heir who lost her throne, a prince seeking revenge, and a sorcerer hellbent on destroying the world.

Princess Katerina is the heir to the Empire of the Ice-Bear, though she’s been denied her seat on the throne because she’s a girl. In retaliation, she kills the lord she’s meant to marry and runs off to Laut Besar, intent on gathering enough wealth and power to take back what was rightfully hers.

But Laut Besar may not hold the answers she thought it would. The evil sorcerer Mangku has invaded the island kingdom, slaughtered its inhabitants, and taken the sacred sword they’d been protecting for his own. Prince Arjun knows it’s his duty to avenge his people and stop the sorcerer before he takes over the entire world, but can he do so in time?

Today, we’re revealing the cover of Gates of Stone by Angus Macallan, which you can check out below:

The cover is both beautiful and powerful all at once. Macallan writes, “I was so pleased with this cover. The illustrator is a very talented individual who perfectly captures the savage beauty of the world in which the novel is set. It conveys the setting and looks fantastic—plus it has people riding on tigers!”

You can’t argue with that!
