A food truck is currently driving around London promoting the Game of Thrones season 2 DVD release, and Isaac Hempstead-Wright (Bran) was on hand for the launch to do a few interviews.

In the interview with Red Carpet News, Hempstead-Wright explains the purpose of the food truck, and what kind of Westeros-inspired food lucky Londoners can sample: wild boar sausages and pumpkin bread and root soup. Sounds delicious.

He also talks about the success of the show, chalking it up to how it immerses fans in a world that is completely different from the one we know. “The show really captures that fantasy, medieval world,” he explains.

Flicks and the City was also on site for the food truck launch, and speaking to them, the actor picks the highlight of season 2: “I liked being the prince of Winterfell and having my own castle, that was cool,” he says, laughing.

He also praises Donald Sumpter (Maester Luwin), calling him a “fantastic actor” who could layer his voice, and Kristian Nairn (Hodor) who is always good for a laugh.

Finally, the actor teases season 3, saying that Bran picks up on what Maester Luwin taught him and becomes more of a leader himself. He also enthuses about the arrival of two “popular new characters” who bring a new aspect to Bran’s storyline – he is of course talking about the Reeds!
