When in LA to accept the Scream Awards that Game of Thrones won with former co-star Sean Bean, Lena Headey talked to Access Hollywood about Cersei and her relationships with the other characters in season 2. Beware of mild spoilers.

In the interview, Headey reveals that the actors are working on the last few episodes of the series, which will return in April 2012. Speaking about her character Cersei Lannister’s arc, Headey teases:

She is losing control because her son [Joffrey] is totally out of control. I think she can’t admit it to anybody. She’s dying to ask for help, and she never will.

She also previews Cersei’s relationship with her brother Tyrion, the new Hand of the King:

This season there’s a big arc with Cersei and Tyrion’s relationship, which is really interesting, because it’s love/hate there, totally. It’s been really fun filming all those scenes, and there’s just a lot more drama this year.

Finally, she discusses Cersei’s relationship with her twin brother Jaime:

There is a slightly incestuous relationship, which is very wrong, but it’s the way she was brought up. She’s a little crazy under the…surface. Second season, I’m getting to explore that a bit more, which is good, because I like the crazy.

Congratulations to Game of Thrones for it’s much-deserved awards! Read the full interview with Headey here at Access Hollywood.
