It was a Game of Thrones reunion on the set of Silent Hill: Revelation 3D as Kit Harington and Sean Bean got to work together again!

On Game of Thrones, Kit Harington and Sean Bean played father and son, and when Ned Stark was killed off it left poor Jon Snow with seemingly no way of discovering the identity of his mother.

In the new horror movie Silent Hill: Revelation, Bean and Harington’s characters don’t have as strong a connection, but Harington nonetheless enjoyed getting to work with the older actor again. Speaking to Screen Crush, Harington relays the experience, saying,

What was nice was turning up to the set of a film and seeing an actor who you really admire and you’d grown up loving the work of, and shaking his hand as friends on a different movie. That was what was so bizarre for me. It was like, “Sean, how you doin’?” rather than, you know, “Hi, Sean, I’m Kit. I’m playing opposite you in this scene.” Which is wonderful because he’s a fabulous actor.

Harington also praises Bean for his role as a drag queen in the movie Accused, saying that, “it’s one of the most powerful performances I’ve seen him do, which is saying something.”

Speaking about season 3 of Game of Thrones, Harington previews “a high-impact season,” with the highest budget yet. “This season is gonna be kind of the iconic one,” Harington predicts. “I don’t know if that’s going too far… I don’t want to give anything away, but I’m genuinely very excited.” He also reveals that the plot of the season will stick “pretty close” to the plot of A Storm of Swords.

Finally, he talks about working with Ciaran Hinds, who has joined the cast as Mance Rayder. He says, “I hadn’t even thought about Ciaran Hinds and then it was announced and I went, “That’s perfect, he’s perfect for that role.” Without going everything’s hunky-dory everything’s wonderful, but he is just such a lovely man.”

Game of Thrones returns for season 3 on March 31 on HBO! Silent Hill is out this Friday.
