Most episodes of the HBO fantasy series have run shorter than the full hour, so the run-times below should provide some consolation for the abbreviated seven episode season.

Last year’s season finale, “The Winds of Winter,” took a grand 68 minutes to kill most of the players in King’s Landing, elect a new King of the North, and finally get Daenerys’ butt across the Narrow Sea.
So it’s pretty thrilling — and in typically Game of Thrones fashion, terrifying — to contemplate what the last two episodes of season 7 will bring. At nearly an hour and a half, the season finale seems especially ripe with possibility for titanic battles, epic reunions, and oh, just so much death.
