Many have already died in season 6 of Game of Thrones, but it’s far from over. Here’s who we think is definitely going to live and die.

We’ve made it halfway, folks! We’ve lost many along the way, and we’re sure to lose many more in this latter half of the season (that sounds inaccurately positive). After watching the first five episodes, we have a clearer idea what this season is about and can better predict who we think is doomed before the season’s end. But first, let’s do a quick tally of who we’ve already lost in the first half:

  1. Doran Martell
  2. Areo Hotah
  3. Trystane Martell
  4. Roose Bolton
  5. Walda Frey
  6. Baby Boy Bolton
  7. Balon Greyjoy
  8. Bowen Marsh
  9. Othell Yarwyck
  10. Alliser Thorne
  11. Olly
  12. Shaggydog
  13. Osha
  14. Khal Moro
  15. Three-Eyed Raven
  16. Summer
  17. Leaf
  18. Hodor

Before getting into death predictions, we should narrow the choices by also predicting who we think will absolutely definitely make it out of this season alive.

Survive

The most obvious choice is probably Jon Snow. Jon already died, and only one season ago at that, so it’s highly unlikely he’ll die again so soon. If Jon is to die, it won’t be until the end of the last season. Likewise, Tyrion, Bran, and Daenerys are also strong contenders to make it all the way to the latter half of the final season.

We still haven’t had a real payoff in Arya‘s storyline, as she still has much to learn in her Faceless Man training. It’d be surprising if she died before we actually got to see her as a true Faceless assassin. Meera (seemingly) must survive, at least for now, because the rest of Bran’s help is dead, and someone has to provide transport and food.

Then there’s Euron Greyjoy, who has only just appeared this season. We know very little about him, but the little we do know would indicate he’s the new Ramsay/Joffrey. He killed his brother, openly admitted to it without remorse, and cut out the tongues of all his crew because he ‘needed silence.’ The crazies tend to stick around for a while, and with leadership of the Salt Throne in contention, you can bet Euron will be sticking around for a while.

With that group taken off the roster, whose fate do we think is doomed? From North to South:

Die

There isn’t a lot of hope for Team Dragonstone. Melisandre did her part by bringing Jon back, and at the moment, it’s unclear what other purpose she serves. Jon’s never seemed all that keen to hear what she has to say, let alone do anything. She brought him back, she did her part, and now her watch has ended. With Davos, it just seems unlikely that a character who has such a good head on his shoulders could survive. We already have Tyrion, so it’s probably too much to ask that we have Davos too.

Another sure death is Ramsay. The bastard will finally get what’s coming to him. As said above, Euron is a new Ramsay, and we don’t need two psychos on our hands at once. Ramsay will fall by Jon’s sword but not before…

Rickon gets it. We’re going to lose the youngest Stark, guys, brace yourselves. It’d be stupid for Ramsay to keep Rickon alive. As long as there’s a Stark around, Ramsay’s claim to Winterfell is weakened, so of course Ramsay will kill him. Because he’s a sick bastard, Ramsay will probably tell Jon he’ll get Rickon back and then kill him in sight of Jon. Is this really his karma for obnoxiously shelling nuts in season 2? Surely a slap on the wrist would suffice!

Another victim of Ramsay’s, Theon doesn’t have long for this world. He may have escaped Ramsay’s clutches, but the trauma he went through must still run deep, and the only true relief he’ll get is in death. He’s bound to die somehow fighting for Yara, as some kind of parallel for almost getting her killed when she came to rescue him in season 4.

Down in King’s Landing there’s sure to be some bloodshed. Cleganebowl 2k16 is totally going to happen, and the Hound is totally going to destroy the Mountain (wishful thinking? Nah.).

With Margaery and Loras both to stand trial, it’s unlikely they’ll both evade the reaper. Between the two, Loras will have a much harder time defending himself, and he’s kind of already given up anyway. Margaery will make it out alive and relatively unscathed, except she won’t’ be Queen anymore because…

Tommen is a goner. He’s a young boy through and through: impressionable, unable to make tough decisions, and unable to enforce his authority. It’s a miracle he hasn’t been eaten alive already.

On a more positive note, the High Sparrow is sure to fly too close to the sun, and we’ll finally be rid of his lectures and discourses. With the Tyrells and Lannisters teaming up, the High Sparrow doesn’t stand much of a chance.

And across the Sea is Jorah. Poor Jorah, he’s hardly been able to catch a break since before the show even started. If we’re being honest, you could have predicted from the beginning that Jorah’s ultimate end would be some kind of sacrifice for Dany, but it looks like it’ll be an even worse fate. Having contracted greyscale, Jorah is already slowly dying, and barring some miraculous discovery of a cure, his end is coming sooner or later.

Who do you think ‘Game of Thrones’ will kill off before the end of season 6?
