Mr. Eko is coming to Westeros! Game of Thrones season 5 has added former Lost star Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje to the cast.

Game of Thrones‘ latest addition to its cast for season 5 has Lost fans excited: Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who played audience fave Mr. Eko on the iconic series, will be heading to Westeros.

The news comes via The Hollywood Reporter, in an article which also announces Akinnuoye-Agbaje’s casting in Jay Roach’s Trumbo.

In Game of Thrones season 5, the 47-year-old actor will allegedly be playing an original character named “Malko,” who does not appear in George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire saga.

It’s possible, of course, that this is a code name. We can’t think of a character from the book series significant enough to be shrouded in secrecy who hasn’t already been cast, but do share your suggestions in the comments!

Akinnuoye-Agbaje has previously acted alongside Kit Harington (Jon Snow), in the 2014 blockbuster Pompeii (pictured above). He played the role of Atticus, while Harington played Milo.

You may also recognise the actor from Thor: The Dark World, and the TV series Oz and Hunted.

In other Game of Thrones news, creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have recently revealed that they will begin doing flashbacks in the show’s fifth season.

The writers have previously avoided this storytelling device on the show, preferring to have characters share their biased and contradictory accounts of past events like it happens in the book series.

While we always enjoy lengthy exposition scenes in Game of Thrones (no, really), there are a lot of key moments that shaped the path of characters like Varys, Jaime Lannister and Ned Stark that we would love to see played out on the show.

Game of Thrones season 5 is currently in production, and will premiere in the spring of 2015.
