Game of Thrones season 4, episode 5 airs tonight on HBO. Check out a preview and everything else you need to know about “First of His Name.”

A(nother) new king will take the Iron Throne tonight, when Game of Thrones season 4, episode 5 airs on HBO. The episode, titled “First of His Name,” will feature the coronation of young Tommen Baratheon, while Daenerys asserts her own leadership in the freshly conquered city of Meereen.

The official synopsis for Game of Thrones season 4, episode 5 says:

Cersei and Tywin plot the Crown’s next move. Dany discusses future plans. Jon embarks on a new mission.

On last week’s episode of Game of Thrones, Dany sparked a slave revolt in Meereen, while Sansa learned more about Joffrey’s murder from Littlefinger. Both Tyrion and Cersei had disappointing meetings with Jaime, but Brienne got a new sword and an honorable mission from the Kingslayer. Meanwhile, Bran, the Reeds, and Hodor wound up prisoners at Craster’s Keep as Jon made plans to head there himself.

And of course, Craster’s last son was transformed into a frost giant White Walker by a non-skeletal White Walker with horns on his head.

So just another day in Westeros, really.

The preview for “First of His Name” hints that several simmering battles may come to a boil in tonight’s episode.

If nothing else, it certainly looks like temperatures will be rising north of the Wall. Oh, and Arya kind of stabs Sandor Clegane.

The promotional stills for Game of Thrones season 4, episode 5 feature an image of Arya in all of her ferocity, as well as a new look for Sansa, and an unexpected conversation between a Lannister and a Martell.

Game of Thrones season 4, episode 5, “First of His Name,” airs tonight at 9:00 p.m. on HBO.
