The preview and stills for Game of Thrones season 4, episode 3 display the terrible fallout of last week’s events.

The great game will have changed forever when Game of Thrones season 4, episode 3 airs this Sunday on HBO. The episode, titled “Breaker of Chains,” will focus on the fallout of Joffrey’s wedding and the looming consequences of choices in the North and Slaver’s Bay.

The preview for Game of Thrones season 4, episode 3 offers a glimpse at turmoil in King’s Landing, divisions growing between trusted friends, and Dany with a whole lot of trebuchets.

Man, Dany could ask for ketchup in Valyrian, and it would still sound badass.

The still photos released from “Breaker of Chains” show a contemplative Dany, while Podrick, Shireen, Margaery, and Arya all look unhappy. Can’t imagine why.

Tormund seems pretty happy, though. He’s just running. Life is good.

The official synopsis for Game of Thrones season 4, episode 3 highlights changes in the offing for Sam, Jon, and Arya. And of course, if it weren’t already clear, Tyrion seems to have found himself in a spot of trouble.

Tyrion ponders his options. Tywin extends an olive branch. Sam realizes Castle Black isn’t safe, and Jon proposes a bold plan. The Hound teaches Arya the way things are. Dany chooses her champion.

Suspiciously absent from the promotional material is Sansa Stark, who was only seen briefly in the episode preview. Sansa was last seen being tugged away from the scene of Joffrey’s death by the drunken fool, Ser Dontos. If Tyrion is, in fact, accused of killing the king, we can only imagine how much more dangerous life will become for her young Stark wife.

Game of Thrones season 4, episode 3, “Breaker of Chains,” airs on Sunday, April 20 at 9:00 p.m. on HBO.
