A new action-packed Game of Thrones season 3 promo has been released, and this one features battles, zombies, armies, and dragons!
“The great war is between death and life. Ice and fire,” Melisandre says in this promo, while various shots illustrate just how prominent the themes of death, life, ice and fire really are in this show. And, “if we lose, the night will never end.”
There are lots of action shots, and very little focus on any characters – this is all about the battle. And, of course, dragons! “I shall show you no mercy,” Daenerys says, bracketed by two new shots of her dragons – that one where they’re soaring over an army is breathtaking.
And, well, we at Hypable all just love the s— out of dragons, how about you?
Game of Thrones season 3 premieres this Sunday at 9/8c on HBO. The first episode is titled “Valar Dohaeris,” and will continue right where season 2 left off.
While Jon is going beyond the wall to meet the king of the wildlings, Mance Rayder, Robb and Catelyn prepare for battle in the south. Jaime and Brienne continue their epic adventure, and Daenerys travels to a new city, where she’ll hopefully have more luck than she did in season 2. We’ll have to wait and see!
