HBO has just released the character posters for season 3 of Game of Thrones – check out all 12 images in the gallery below:

The above pictures show main characters Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke), Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead-Wright), Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau), Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey), Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson), Jon Snow (Kit Harington), Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), Sandor Clegane (Rory McCann), Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), Robb Stark (Richard Madden) and Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley).

We can’t wait to see if they’ll release pictures of everyone else, or just the main players from season 1! Hopefully we’ll get to see posters for characters like Brienne, Margaery, Tywin Lannister and the Reeds, right? It is interesting to note though that they did include the Hound in this batch – indicating, of course, that his character might become more important in season 3…

The first episode of Game of Thrones season 3, titled “Valar Dohaeris,” will air Sunday, March 31 on HBO. Read the description:

Jon meets the King-Beyond-the-Wall while his Night Watch Brothers flee south towards the Wall. In King’s Landing, Tyrion wants a reward, Cersei arranges a dinner party, and Littlefinger offers to help Sansa. Across the Narrow Sea, Dany starts her journey west while in the Riverlands, Arya meets a band of outlaws.

In case you missed it, last night eight out of the 10 episode titles for season 3 were revealed, including the season finale title.
