Game of Thrones was majorly snubbed at the 2012 Emmy Awards, but at least Richard Madden (Robb Stark) could share an exciting season 3 teaser!

Madden was in attendance at the Emmy Awards Ceremony on behalf of Game of Thrones, and speaking to E! Online at Sunday’s awards ceremony, the actor expressed his enthusiasm for the third season of the series, which is currently filming.

He said that season 3, “Makes season 1 and 2 like a warmup.” Further, fans can expect even more excitement, as “every episode is like a finale episode.”

Considering the events of the third book in the saga, A Storm of Swords, we’re sure there is a lot of material to make for 10 action-packed episodes!

Game of Thrones was nominated for several Emmys, including Outstanding Drama and  Outstanding Supporting Actor (Peter Dinklage). Homeland picked up the former award, while the latter went to Breaking Bad‘s Aaron Paul. However, Thrones did clean up in the Creative Emmy categories, including Outstanding Costumes (for “The Prince of Winterfell”) and Outstanding Sound Editing (for “Blackwater”).

Game of Thrones will return to HBO for season 3 on March 31, 2013. It’s a long way away, but hey, why don’t you check out Hypable’s Game of Thrones podcast Game of Owns to get your fix? The hosts are currently reading the first book in the George R.R. Martin series, so it’s a good time to start reading the books yourself (or re-reading them along with us)!
