Taking a cue from AMC’s popular post-Walking Dead talk show Talking Dead, HBO has announced a post-episode talk show for their most popular drama.

After the Thrones will be released each Monday on HBO Go, HBO Now, and HBO OnDemand following the previous night’s new episode of Game of Thrones season 6, which premieres later this month. The show is in partnership with ESPN alum Bill Simmons and will be hosted by Andy Greenwald and Chris Ryan from The Ringer, Simmons’ new content site in conjunction with HBO.

According to a press release, After the Thrones “will recap the latest episode, explaining the who, what, when and where, exploring the complicated politics and history of Thrones, and offering absurd and not-so-absurd theories about future episodes. Greenwald and Ryan will discuss the show as only they can.”

You may recognize Greenwald and Ryan from Grantland’s Watch the Thrones podcast and The Ringer’s The Watch podcast.

Unlike Talking Dead, After the Thrones will not be airing directly after Game of Thrones each Sunday, which may hurt the show’s ratings. Talking Dead works because the show (usually) airs right after each new episode of The Walking Dead airs, and fans stick around to get more information about what just happened.

But unlike AMC, HBO doesn’t have to worry about advertisers, so it doesn’t matter what the ratings are like for After the Thrones. The show will inevitably be a hit because it’s reacting to Game of Thrones, one of the biggest dramas on TV right now.

Then again, no one has any idea what will be happening in season 6 since George R.R. Martin has yet to publish Winds of Winter, so fans will be clamoring for analysis of each new Game of Thrones — a fact that’s sure to help After the Thrones.
