Stars of Skins and Game Of Thrones join Misfits cast members (old and new) for a new crime drama from the director of Forbrydelsen (The Killing).

Stephen Dillane reunites with his Game Of Thrones co-star and Skins alumni Joe Dempsie for the BBC Two drama, which also stars former Misfit Lauren Socha and Misfit-in-waiting Karla Crome (who will make her début as Jess when the series returns later this year). The impressive cast list is rounded off by Lara Rossi, Robert Pugh, Kate Donnelly and newcomer Darren Campbell.

Murder follows the intense relationship between sisters Coleen and Erin, who are passing through “the town” with their brother Stefan. Hours later, one of the trio is dead. All we have to go on is what the two survivors tell us. Who did it? And why?

The ensemble will be directed by Forbrydelsen (The Killing) mastermind Birger Larsen from a script by Robert Jones (Lennon Naked). Speaking to CultBox, Larsen had high praise for Jones’ script:

“I can say without exaggeration that it was the best script I have seen since The Killing. I was attracted to the fact that it’s written in such a way that the actors talk direct to camera. It feels original and intimate. You’re drawn into their world – you see it through their eyes.”

Murder will air later this year.
