Game of Thrones returns for its third season next year. Here, actor John Bradley reflects on season 2, talks nudity, and hints at Samwell Tarly’s future.

Speaking to The Independent, Bradley talks about his experiences working on season 2 of Game of Thrones. He reveals that his favourite episode was “Blackwater,” and discusses the differences between seasons 1 and 2.

He says that working on season 2 was, “More difficult because I think people had an expectation from the first season and we had to live up to the quality of the first season [but] easy because we knew the characters, we knew the story. We knew a rough approximation of their journey so it was more comfortable but at the same time a bit more pressure.”

On the nude scenes, he won’t reveal whether he himself will participate in any in the future, but does comment on the controversy surrounding the female to male ratio, saying, “I think that if nudity does play a part in our show, for example in the Littlefinger scenes in the brothel, that’s to show what kind of a man Littlefinger is. That he exploits these women so much and he’s underhand, […] but it means nothing to him – a bit of meat and we need to show that, put across that side of his character.”
