A Game of Thrones was back for its third trip to Comic-Con. Writer George R.R. Martin was back again this year to act as the host for the panel.

At last year’s panel the big reveal was all the new cast members that were added in the ever expanding world. So far this year, we’ve heard relatively little about about new casting members. However, just the other day we discovered that Sherlock showrunner and actor, Mark Gatiss will be in the upcoming season.

Speaking to a crowd at Nerd HQ at Comic-Con Gatiss stated:

“I’m not allowed to tell you. I’ve done my filming. I’m glad I didn’t tell anyone before this since it’s a big secret. The announcement of was obviously timed for Comic-Con and I’m rather overwhelmed with the reaction, honestly. It’s a great show with so many brilliant people in it.

What’s interesting is that it’s such a huge, sprawling cast and people seem to be there for ages, but they actually shoot two or three days and that’s it. Once it’s put together it looks like everybody must be there for weeks and weeks and weeks.”

At the same event, David Bradley who plays Walder Frey commented on the red wedding.

“I felt intense pleasure (killing them), which was alarming. I’d do it all again if I had the chance. They got what was going to them!”

Bradley and Gatiss made their comments following a panel about their upcoming Doctor Who documentary, An Adventure in Time and Space.
