The Game of Thrones cast and crew hit the scene at San Diego Comic-Con 2015 and discussed some of the most controversial plot points of last season during their Hall H panel. Read on for five of the most interesting tidbits from this year’s panel!

1. Sophie Turner still stands by Sansa’s controversial wedding night.

When asked to expand on why she felt like Sansa’s controversial wedding night scene with Ramsey was a good choice for her character, actress Sophie Turner says she stands by her original comments that she thought the scene was great. That being said, the actress also joked that she didn’t understand why they chose to focus the scene on Theon’s reaction. “I was giving a GREAT performance [off to the side],” the actress said with a laugh.

On a more serious note, Turner reminded everyone in the audience that despite what has happened to Sansa, the one thing she still is is a strong character. As for her plan of attack, Turner also elaborated on why she feels as though Sansa chooses to act the way she does.

“What she’s been doing this whole time is getting by without doing anything totally radical cuz that could change her situation — she could die and with the Boltons, that’s a huge risk to take,” explained Turner. “She’s not stupid. I think she thought it through in her head — she could have fought back if she wanted to but she didn’t. It’s good for her character. She’s one of those people that does her scheming inside her mind and not out loud.”

2. Trouble may be ahead for Margery Tyrell.

Though everyone who works on Game of Thrones is naturally keeping tight lipped on what’s to come on the series, actress Natalie Dormer says that as far as she’s concerned, trouble is ahead for her character Margery.

“I don’t have an effing clue [as to what’s going to happen to her], all I can say is grandma aint around to look after her anymore and she’s in a new situation where she doesn’t know what her next move will be,” said the actress. “I think Margery is in trouble, to be honest.”

3. Maisie Williams says she’s genuinely worried for Arya’s future.

The season finale of Game of Thrones left us all wondering what was going to happen to Arya Stark now that she’s lost her vision. While Williams says she’s worried about what will happen to her on-screen persona looking ahead, she also revealed at the panel that as an actress, she’s concerned about the physical challenges that’ll come along with portraying a blind Arya.

From a technical standpoint, Williams says the contacts in and of themselves are a hassle because they’re “thick and wide and hard to get into your eyes.”

“I’m worried about having to do any fighting — one, I can’t see [with the contacts in] and two, they’re extremely uncomfortable,” said Williams. “It takes three seconds for the [screen writers] to write ‘Arya fights blind’ but it takes me a long time to master that.”

4. Alfie Allen says Theon’s redeeming moment could have gone differently.

Though life in Westeros is hard for everyone, fans of the series can’t deny that Theon’s journey as Reek has been pretty miserable. But despite the bad he’s done, Game of Thrones‘ season 5 finale found Theon redeeming himself by helping Sansa presumably escape. When asked what he thought of Theon’s redemption, actor Alfie Allen says that while he liked it, he finds himself thinking about all the other ways that particular story line could have gone.

“As an actor, it would have been interesting to see where things could have gone — perhaps it could have gone darker but it’s nice to see a light at the end of the tunnel [for Theon] — I’m not all bad!” said Allen.

5. Could fans ever see a longer season finale? The show runners say it’s possible.

Season finales on Game of Thrones are notoriously jam packed so naturally, we’re sure fans wouldn’t oppose if the powers that be wanted to make a season finale longer than an hour. As for whether or not that would ever be something that would actually come to fruition, let’s just say producer Carolyn Strauss didn’t yes, but she didn’t say no either.

“Remember, almost every episode lasts longer than an hour — at least by a minute or two,” Strauss joked. “[But] there are plenty of options out there — we’ll see what happens.”
