Game of Thrones season 4 will introduce Treme‘s Michiel Huisman, who will replace Ed Skrein as Daario Naharis!

While winter has to come and go, and we can still only dream of spring (ha), production for the fourth season of Game of Thrones is in full swing.

Today, Winter is Coming reports that Michiel Huisman, who played Sonny on Treme, has landed a role in Game of Thrones season 4.

The character will reportedly “kick ass,” according to his personal trainer Aaron Williamson.

There is no confirmation about Huisman’s role, but according to Deadline, he will replace an existing actor on the series. Your guess is as good as ours!

UPDATE: According to The Hollywood Reporter, Huisman will replace Ed Skrein in the role of lothario and sellsword Daario Naharis.

Daario was first introduced in season 3 as one of the mercenary company captains who approaches Daenerys (Emilia Clarke). He betrays his two fellow commanders, earning her trust and respect… and maybe even admiration.

In related news, filming for Game of Thrones season 4 has officially begun in Dubrovnik.

A Croatian website has a neat video to watch from the set, which you can check out here! SpoilerTV also has a nice batch of behind-the-scenes photos from King’s Landing scenes.

Season 4 will roughly span the second half of A Storm of Swords, the third book in the A Song of Ice and Fire series by George R.R. Martin.

We’ll see what happens in Westeros following Robb and Catelyn Stark’s murders, and across the Narrow Sea, Daenerys will have to work out what to do with all the slaves she freed in Yunkai.
