The still photos for Game of Thrones 6×08 have been released, and we have a few theories as to what’s going down in King’s Landing.

Game of Thrones 6×08, rather ominously titled “No One,” promises to pull several characters into crucial stages of their stories. According to HBO’s typically terse synopsis, events that left dangling threads in weeks past may find themselves tied in (probably bloody) knots very soon.

“While Jaime weighs his options, Cersei answers a request,” HBO tells us. At the same time, “Tyrion’s plans bear fruit” and “Arya faces a new test.”

The episode stills from “No One” follow along these same lines. In Meereen, Tyrion and Varys mingle with more people than usual — will prosperity return to the city along with Daenerys? Varys does have a suspicious look on that round face, but that’s probably just how his face is by now.

Two of the images from Game of Thrones 6×08 set up Jaime and Brienne’s long awaited reunion. While we desperately hope they kiss, it seems like Brienne the Beauty and Ser Jaime of the Golden Hand (yes, let’s make this a fairy tale) will be sharing grim looks and stubborn words, instead of kisses and marriage proposals.

(Oh, stop judging us.)

Finally, King’s Landing represents hard in these stills, as the Seven Pointed Lancel steps forward to perform some fervent act of faith. Because his brains leaked out of his pretty little head when they carved that star into it. Cheers, Lancel.

But after spending a season on a meek back foot, Cersei may finally have shored up the power she needs. In other words, whatever “request” Cersei is set to answer seems to involve the undead Mountain — and Cersei looks happier than we’ve seen her in years.

And in case you’ve forgotten the last five seasons of Game of Thrones, let us remind you: A happy Cersei is a terrifying Cersei.

(Look at that little smile. So creepy.)

Though the title “No One” clearly refers to Arya’s elusive identity, the teaser for Game of Thrones 6×08 primarily ricochets between Cersei’s pending conflict in the capital and Jaime’s fight at Riverrun.

It also seems that the city of Meereen may be reunited with its conqueror-queen once again, as well as her big-ass dragon Drogon… and that Arya is suspiciously spry for a girl who was just basically stabbed to death. Lady Stark presented quite a convincing “Crap, I’m dying!” figure as she staggered out of the Braavosi canals, but there may be some sleight of body at play. After all, who knows what Arya is truly up to?

No one, that’s who.

Game of Thrones 6×08, “No One,” airs Sunday, June 12 at 9:00 p.m. on HBO.
