Galavant is returning to our screens on January 3, 2016, and ABC have dropped two trailers for season 2. (Yes, it’s really happening.)

When Galavant parted our screens earlier this year, it left us with more than a few question marks hanging over the fate of our favorite characters. Would Isabella escape the Barbie Dreamhouse? What shenanigans would Gal and Richard get up to on the high-seas together? Would Sid survive into season 2? Would Madalena and Gareth rule Valencia with an iron fist?

There was some uncertainty over Galavant’s fate, and whether or not we’d get definitive answers to the cliffhangers from the finale, before ABC announced it was taking its high-fantasy, musical-comedy out for another spin. And there was much rejoicing. Well, there was from us, at least!

Information hasn’t been particularly forthcoming for Galavant’s second season. Though we do know that amongst returning guest stars, like Lord Grantham Hugh Bonneville, we’ll also be getting a lot more beard… oh, and pop sensation Kylie Minogue. Talk about adding some lungs to an already talented cast.

Whilst the first promo video, via Entertainment Weekly, doesn’t give us much in the way of hints as to the role Minogue might be playing, it does tease some interesting tidbits for the upcoming season. Galavant and Richard appear to have joined the Lords of the Sea on the actual sea for some swashbuckling adventures, there’s enough slaps to go around for everyone, and Vincenzo and Gwynne are “big pimpin'” after finding love with each other in the first season.

The second promo, released on the Galavant Facebook page earlier today, cuts together some additional clips from season 2 to Taylor Swift’s notorious ear-worm “Shake it Off.” Yeah, we’re pretty impressed at how they managed to match up their lip-syncing, too.

It's for real. #Galavant returns to sing, dance, and shake it off Jan 3!

Minogue’s character seems to be getting pretty close to a rather shirtless Galavant in this promo. Could Gal’s time away from Isabella find him straying from his new one-true-love? Sid also appears to be alive and well back in Valencia, where he remained as leverage for Gareth. Oh, and they’re really amping up those group song-and-dance numbers this season.

Galavant returns January 3, 2016, airing two episodes per week for a five-week period. That’s two whole episodes more than we got in season 1! Rejoice!
