Yesterday, Gaga was one of many artists to perform at a belated birthday celebration for former President Bill Clinton. The controversial singer is making headlines today however, for the use of one very inappropriate word. Check after the jump to watch the video of her performance.

Last night, Gaga performed for the former President, his wife Hilary, and daughter Chelsea, as well as a massive crowd, all celebrating a late birthday for the previous Commander in Chief. While Gaga is certainly known to push the envelope, her entire set was filled with sexual innuendos about Clinton, as well as some profane language.

At one point in between songs, Gaga stated that she “Loved Clinton and his hot wife”, while also dancing quite provocatively directly in front of the former first family. Shock and disappointment were echoed throughout the room, made clear by the the loud gasps and shaking of heads.

Before singing “You and I”, Gaga addressed the President personally, and right after holding up her middle finger, said the following;

“If someone had told me so many years ago that I’d be doing that right in front of you I just would not believe. I would have given a good American f**k you.”

Other musicians who performed for the Clinton’s include Kenny Chesney, Stevie Wonder, and Bono. Ellen DeGeneres, Joni Mitchell, and Jane Fonda were also in attendance.

What do you think? Was Gaga too inappropriate, or was she just performing as she usually does?
