We all know and love the relationship between Emily Thorne and Nolan Ross on ABC’s Revenge, but the partners in crime may be hitting some rocks this season. Gabriel Mann opens up about the future of our favorite pair.

From the season premiere of Revenge on Sunday, we know that Nolan has sold his swanky mansion (too many bad memories), and is now crashing with Emily in her seaside Hamptons cottage. She wasn’t too keen on the idea, but it seems to be working. Right?

Not according to Gabriel Mann, who plays Nolan on ABC’s hit drama.

“That would be too simple, wouldn’t it? To BFF it up the whole season?”

As much as that’s what we want to see, we know it would be too good to be true. As you know, we love Nolan (just check out our reasons why), and we want him to form that familial bond with Emily.

But even though she needs Nolan in more ways than one, she always tries to keep him at a safe distance. She doesn’t want him to get hurt by her plans (which has already happened a couple of times), but she also needs his assistance for hacking into people’s computers, or seducing potential threats (like Tyler).

It’s not all fun and games though for this sibling-like duo.

Mann continues, “I think we start from the nice place that we ended last season, and then the car just starts going faster and faster and faster.”

Emily can be a little intense, and with the new addition of her mother coming this season, Amanda’s pregnancy with Jack, and Takeda keeping tabs on her with Aiden, we can’t really blame her for it. Oh yeah, and that revenge plan she’s got going on. The girl’s a little stressed.

And speaking of Aiden, the dashing new addition to our cast, Mann hints that he might cause some trouble in paradise for the “Nemily” partnership.

“I will tease the addition of our new friend from the U.K., who plays Aiden. I don’t know that Nolan is going to be loving the new love interest.”

So Mann confirms that Aiden will be acting as a love interest, and he’s somehow going to get in the way of Emily’s relationship with Nolan.

We don’t want to see anything that upsets Nolan, but we’re excited to see where this season takes us.
