Though the Broadway version is still a long way off, Disney will unveil a Frozen musical at the Disneyland Resort next year.

The new “Frozen-inspired stage musical” will replace the Aladdin musical at California Adventure’s Hyperion Theater. Aladdin has been at the Hyperion since 2003 and will close this January to make way for Anna and Elsa.

“This new show will immerse you in the world of Frozen as never before,” Disney Parks wrote on their blog Wednesday, “with elaborate costumes and sets, stunning special effects and surprising scenic transformations.”

“Our stage production of Frozen will stay true to the heart and soul of the film,” said Dana Harrel, Portfolio Creative Entertainment Executive, Walt Disney Imagineering. “Anna and Elsa will carry the audience on an emotional journey that includes show-stopping production numbers and a few unique theatrical twists. We can’t wait for everyone to see it!”

A Frozen sing-along is currently hosted multiple times daily at a smaller venue near the Hyperion at Disneyland’s California Adventure Park with appearances by all of the main characters (You can watch it below). The new musical sounds like it’ll be a much larger undertaking.

Disney didn’t offer additional details about the Frozen musical, so we’ll have to wait a little while longer before learning things like what songs we’ll get to hear.

In June we learned that the aforementioned Broadway show will include “about a dozen” new tunes, so don’t be surprised if California Adventure’s show also has new music.

The Frozen brand has been creeping into Disney’s theme parks since the film became a global sensation. Disney World’s EPCOT is currently replacing the Norway pavilion with a Frozen attraction which will open in 2016. Many of Disney’s nighttime shows have also received Frozen goodies in recent months.

It’s all leading up to Frozen 2, which Walt Disney Animation Studios is currently working on.
