In a new interview with Fortune, Disney CEO Bob Iger reveals that the studio is already developing a Frozen musical.

Iger says that Frozen on Broadway will not be rushed. “We’re not demanding speed,” he says. “We’re demanding excellence.” No other details were shared.

The animated Disney movie has seen big success at the box office over the past few weeks. For example, it managed to surpass every other animated Disney movie box office total except for The Lion King’s.

Like many, Iger was brought to tears by the end of the movie. “I was glad I was wearing [3D] glasses,” he says. “It was my proudest moment as the CEO of the Walt Disney Company.”

Elsewhere in his interview with Fortune, Iger spoke about what Frozen’s success means for the future of Walt Disney Animation Studios, which has had a string of hits in recent years including Wreck-It Ralph and Tangled. “I realized, ‘My goodness, Disney Animation is where it rightfully belongs.’ The exhilaration was profound. It’s not about the bottom line. The bottom line is for the quarter. This is for something bigger and longer.”

Frozen’s music was penned by Book of Mormon co-creator Robert Lopez and stars Jonathan Groff, Idina Menzel, Josh Gad, and Kristen Bell.

Speaking of Disney musicals, the studio is currently preparing Aladdin for Broadway. The show has been in Toronto for testing purposes and will begin previews in New York in late February before an official opening on March 20.

‘Frozen’ musical: Is it a logical step forward?

The movie was expected to win Best Original Song at the Golden Globes on Sunday night for “Let It Go,” but the honor was instead bestowed upon U2 for “Ordinary Love” from Mandela, Long Walk To Freedom. Thankfully, Frozen won the Globe for Best Animated Feature.
