Fringe is back tonight with “The Bullet That Saved the World,” and now you can see three new sneak peeks from the episode, revealing Broyles’ return!

In the first clip, Astrid and Walter release a tape from the amber, and Peter arrives. He tells them about the Observer reading him (which we saw in a previous sneak peek), and that the Observer got an image of Etta. He then admits that he doesn’t know how they’ll beat them, and Etta says, “We’ll beat them one by one,” and reveals that she can teach others to block their minds.

The second sneak peek shows Walter, Etta, Olivia and Astrid peer down into a hatch and Walter says that he’s not sure what’s left down there. They go down, and discover a storage facility of all the fringe events the group solved back in their own time. The he reveals his plan: “There was a time when we solved fringe cases. Now I think it’s time we created few of our own.”

Finally we return to the Observer who scanned Peter, and surprise, Broyles (Lance Reddick) is back! He is working with the Observers, and is shown the scan of Peter. He explains the “purpose” of the necklace but if he recognises Peter’s voice, he gives nothing away. At this point we don’t know what side Broyles is working for, but even though he seems like he is on the wrong side, we’ll bet that the return of Peter, Walter and Olivia will stir something in him – if he’s not already working with the resistance, that is!

The episode airs tonight at 9/8c on Fox. It is the fourth out of only 13 episodes of Fringe‘s fifth and final season, and we’re sure that big things are about to happen! It seems a conflict between Etta and Olivia is brewing – that’s bound to get interesting.
