The title of the Fringe season 5 (and series) finale has been revealed by Joel Wyman, who also gives some hints about what to expect from the episode!

TV Line spoke to Wyman, who revealed to them that the finale episode will be titled “An Enemy of Fate.”

Immediately this makes us think that someone (likely Peter) will be trying to prevent a set outcome of the war, or perhaps even go back in time to stop the current timeline from ever coming to be.

On the final episode, Wyman teases that, “It’s definitely the biggest season finale we’ve ever had. It’s the most expensive…. It’s massive, really big. I wanted to go out like, ‘Wow, how did they do that?’”

But aside from the action, there’ll be plenty of emotional scenes too, Wyman promises.

Fringe has been on a short hiatus but will be back this Friday with the episode “The Human Kind,” which airs at 9/8c on Fox.

The episode description reads:

Olivia encounters a very intuitive and oracle-like person named Simone (guest star Scott) as she looks to recover a key piece of equipment for Walter. Meanwhile, Peter finds himself in a perilous situation as he observes Windmark.

This is the eighth episode of Fringe‘s fifth and final season – and the sixth episode left of the show! We’re dreading the end already.
