The talented Fringe actor Lance Reddick (Broyles) has been cast in director Daniel Barnz’ Still I Rise.
The film also stars Maggie Gyllenhall, Holly Hunter, Viola Davis, Oscar Isaac and Rosie Perez. Still I Rise “tells the story of two mothers (Gyllenhall and Davis) who join forces to transform an inner-city public school,” Collider.com reports. Reddick will play the school teacher husband of Davis’ character.
The film is set for a 2012 release.
