See three clips from Fringe‘s penultimate episode, “The Boy Must Live,” which airs this Friday. Can you believe it’s almost over?

Following the winter hiatus, Fringe will return this Friday – but that will be the second to last time. Because after “The Boy Must Live,” it is time for the two-part series finale.

But let’s not despair just yet, and instead get excited about what’s still to come! See the three sneak peeks for the episode released by Fox:

First up, we see Walter, Peter and Olivia approaching a building, and Peter questions Walter about his newfound confidence – clearly worried that he’ll start becoming like the scary, alternate version of himself. But Walter explains that when the Observer boy touched him, it was “freeing; all at once I understood that everything I’d ever known or thought I knew could fit into a thimble.” And he remembers things now, from the other timeline.

But Walter still doesn’t remember the plan, and Peter wonders why the boy would give Walter a different set of memories. They have a hug, and it is all very touching – and we’re left wondering if perhaps this was the boy’s plan all along, to reawaken Walter’s affection for Peter. Maybe he anticipates that a sacrifice will have to be made before the end?

In the second clip, Peter is cutting into the amber to free another tape when Walter appears, telling him about his plan to find September. But it involves the tank – yes, the one all the way back from season 1.

The final sneak peek shows the fringe team putting Walter in the tank, and we have a bit of a comical moment when Olivia opens the door to find him sans trunks (“They were too restrictive. My body needs to be as free and as open as my mind,” he explains. Well, of course).

Fringe 5×11 “The Boy Must Live” airs Friday at 9/8c on Fox.
