Two titles for upcoming Fringe episodes have been released, and one of them is a curious Alice in Wonderland reference.

Showrunner Joel Wyman has revealed the title of episode six on Twitter, and it’s a long one!

As Wyman tells the lucky fan, the episode will be entitled “Through the Looking Glass and What Walter Found There.” It is almost the exact title of Lewis Carroll’s novel Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There, the sequel to Alice in Wonderland. The story presents a mirror image of Wonderland, using a lot of opposite imagery as well as the theme of time running backwards.

Fringe has used Wonderland similes almost all through its run, with the alternate universe existing as a mirror image of the world as we know it. And though the alternate world is gone, the future which Walter and the others find themselves in is also a bit of a mirror image of the world they knew – and Walter really does have to retrace his steps back in time to find the missing pieces of his memory.

Further, Give Me My Remote has revealed the title of the following episode, which is called “52010.” This number could be a lot of things, maybe a safety deposit box or storage facility, but it is also a zip code in Decorah, Iowa. And considering the Fringe team has already trekked across states for one of Walter’s tapes, it is likely that they might be doing so again in this episode. When the seventh episode airs, we will also have crossed the midway point of the final season – only six more to go after this one!

Fringe is off this week, but returns next Friday with the fourth episode of season 5, “The Bullet That Saved the World.” It’ll air at 9/8c on Fox.
