Wes Anderson’s latest film The French Dispatch has just dropped its first trailer, and it features all your indie faves.

Wes Anderson is back to charm and delight us with his limited color palettes and melancholy-tinged comedy.

The French Dispatch will mark the auteur director’s first film since 2018’s Academy-award nominated Isle of Dogs, and his 10th film overall. The film will be directed by Anderson and written by him along with Roman Coppola, Jason Schwartzman, and Hugo Guinness.

The film will not only feature many frequent Anderson collaborators in front of the camera like Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton and Owen Wilson, it will also reunite regular behind-the-scenes collaborators like cinematographer Robert Yeoman, composer Alexandre Desplat, and editor Andrew Weisblum.

The French Dispatch is described as a love letter to journalists and is set in an outpost of an American newspaper in a fictional 20th century French city. The film centers on three storylines that bring to life a collection of stories published in “The French Dispatch” magazine.

As is customary for the auteur filmmaker, this film features an absolutely stunning cast of top-tier Hollywood talent, including Oscar winners Benicio Del Toro (Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Traffic), Adrien Brody (The Pianist), and Tilda Swinton (Suspiria, Michael Clayton). Joining them are Oscar nominees and frequent Wes Anderson collaborators Bill Murray (Lost in Translation) and Owen Wilson (The Royal Tenenbaums).

Included in the cast are likewise Timothée Chalamet (Little Women, Call Me by Your Name), Léa Seydoux (Spectre), Lyna Khoudri (The Blessed), Jeffrey Wright (Westworld), Mathieu Amalric (The Grand Budapest Hotel), and Stephen Park (Fargo).

Liev Schreiber, Elisabeth Moss, Edward Norton, Willem Dafoe, Lois Smith, Saoirse Ronan, Christoph Waltz, Anjelica Huston, Jason Schwartzman, and Henry Winkler are likewise set to make appearances in the film.

The French Dispatch will be released July 24, 2020.
