Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger trailer has arrived, along with new information about fellow Freeform series New Warriors.
The moody Cloak & Dagger trailer was revealed at Freeform’s Upfront presentation, and lays out the preliminary story for the teen-centric series. The trailer introduces Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt), a delicate ballerina, and Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph), a street-wise young man trying his best to stay out of trouble.
When the two very different teens wind up crossing paths, a secret from their dark pasts comes to light — along with strange powers that bind Tyrone and Tandy more closely than they could have ever imagined.
The 10 episode first season of Cloak & Dagger is slated to air in early 2018.
Freeform has also released the full character lineup for their second Marvel series, New Warriors. The comedy series, announced last month, will portray the misadventures of six quirkily-powered teenagers just trying to make a difference in the world… whether or not the world is interested.
The young cast of characters will be led by Doreen Green, a.k.a Squirrel Girl, the much-beloved squirrel-talking fangirl of Thanos-defeating fame. Doreen is joined by other lower-tier Marvel heroes Craig Hollis (Mr. Immortal), Dwayne Taylor (Night Thrasher), Robbie Baldwin (Speedball), Zack Smith (Microbe), and Deborah Fields (Debrii). A new illustration of the diverse group is already bursting with personality.
Marvel’s New Warriors will air in 2018.
