Get ready to enjoy some more of your favorite muppets! Fraggle Rock will be getting the reboot treatment from Apple TV!

Fraggle Rock had already enjoyed a slight revival when Apple TV+ produced a series of shorts titled Fraggle Rock: Rock On!.

The made-in-quarantine show had mini-episodes featuring award-winning special guests Alanis Morissette, Common, Jason Mraz, Neil Patrick Harris, Tiffany Haddish and Ziggy Marley.

Now, according to Collider, Fraggle Rock will officially be coming to Apple TV+ as a full-length, rebooted series.

The original television series aired from 1983-1987 and followed the adventures of the Fraggles, a race of small, furry creatures living an easy existence in a complex network of magical caves. When they weren’t using their time to play games, sing songs or dance like nobody was watching, fraggles Gobo, Mokey, Red, Wembley and Boober Fraggle sought the wise advice of Marjory the Trash Heap, devoured the work of the Doozers, and worked to avoid giant beings known as Gorgs.

All of these characters will be back in the Fraggle Rock reboot, in addition to the inclusion of original performers Dave Goelz (Boober, Uncle Travelling Matt) and Karen Prell (Red).

Though Apple TV hasn’t given any details on what the reboot will entail, their official statement teased “new songs and adventures, with the same spirit as the classic.”

The rebooted Fraggle Rock series has tapped Community vets Matt Fusfeld and Alex Cuthbertson as showrunners alongside executive music producer Harvey Mason Jr. (Zoey’s Infinite Playlist).

Yariv Milchan (The Lighthouse), Michael Schaefer (Ad Astra), John Tartaglia (Sesame Street) and Rita Peruggi (The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance) will also be involved in the series as producers.
