Fox announced a new animated series from Bob’s Burgers creator Loren Bouchard, and the show has got a pretty fantastic cast lined up.

Fox just wrapped up its executive press call outlining what we can expect to see from the network in its 2019-2020 season, and they’ve added a pretty exciting new animated show. Fans of Bob’s Burgers should definitely get excited, because this new show, called The Great North, comes from Bob’s creator Loren Bouchard.

The Great North is a series set in Alaska and follows the Tobin family, which consists of a single dad raising several kids. The Tobin patriarch must learn to cope and support his daughter when her artistic dreams take her from the family fishing boat and into the glitzy world of the local mall.

From the sound of the show’s description, The Great North has the ingredients needed to become as loved by fans as Bob’s Burgers. Like Bob’s, the show will feature a loving (albeit a bit strange) family doing their best in the midst of all of the series hijinks and a unique family situation. That fun balance of craziness and genuine familial affection is what helped Bob’s stand out, and it could help The Great North stand out as well.

But a great series idea from a solid creator is nothing without a solid cast, and The Great North has lined up some amazing talent. Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally, Jenny Slate, and Will Forte are all lined up as cast members for the new show, though it hasn’t been announced who each actor will play.

This isn’t the first time these actors have worked with Bouchard, as they have all appeared on Bob’s Burgers. Offerman has voiced several characters on the show, as has Mullally (though she most notably provides the voice for Linda Belcher’s sister, Gayle). Jenny Slate voices the teen mean girl, Tammy Larsen, and Will Forte is the voice for lecherous seaplane pilot Kurt Enerny.

This is definitely going to be a series Bob’s Burgers fans can’t miss. While we don’t have a specific release date for the series, Fox has confirmed that The Great North will premiere in 2020.
