A new festival celebrating pop culture and geared towards women will be taking place this November in Austin, Texas, and they need your help to make the first year a success.
Forever Fest is under the direction of a couple of our professional friends who are looking to create an event that is unlike the slew of movie festivals already out there. “If you’re a lady who loves Dirty Dancing, or a woman who’s seen Sixteen Candles a thousand times, or a guy who can’t stop quoting Clueless, you’re still in search of a festival that meets your movie-loving needs,” they write.
The festival will be held at the beloved Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, known for their world class movie theaters.
Most importantly, a Kickstarter is now underway to raise funds so special guests can be brought to the event. As with all Kickstarters, by making a donation you’ll be eligible for certain benefits to thank you for your support. Since this is Forever Fest’s first year, sponsorships are difficult to get from corporations, thus the Kickstarter.
