Though she was one of the top contenders to take on Mags in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, reps for the actress have now confirmed she won’t have the role.
Lionsgate informed Leo’s people about the decision earlier this afternoon:
HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE casting update: MELISSA LEO’s reps have been informed this afternoon that she is NOT getting the part of Mags.

New cast members Philip Seymour-Hoffman and Amanda Plummer have both been confirmed for roles in the past week. If Lionsgate keeps this pace up, they may announce a new cast member once a week.
