Success! Last week there was a collective “awww” from the internet when we learned that the dog who played Padfoot in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban needed a home.

Today, The Express reports on the many offers that have arrived from around the world. Plus we’re seeing new pictures of Berry.

From the report:

Lizzy Brown, of German Shepherd Dog Rescue, said: “It has gone global. We are very grateful for the donations and our thanks too go to the Express for getting the ball rolling.”

The charity’s volunteers are busy sifting through the offers to see which would fulfil the dogs’ needs best, without separating the pair as they have been together since Berry was a puppy. “People have been in touch from Japan,

Argentina, Brazil, Russia as well as Britain, Europe and the United States.”

A move abroad would be too stressful though so only applicants living in Britain will get the dogs.

Below are photos of Berry (who played Padfoot) and his companion Porridge. More information can be found about the pair at this link.[scrollGallery id=154 autoScroll=false thumbsdown=true]
