Booksmart director Olivia Wilde has cast a powerhouse trio of actors, Florence Pugh, Shia LaBeouf and Chris Pine for her next film Don’t Worry Darling.

According to Deadline, Florence Pugh will will play the lead in Don’t Worry Darling, which is described as a psychological thriller set in an isolated, utopian community in the 1950s California desert.

Olivia Wilde will also star in the feature film, as well as direct and produce.

Joining Florence Pugh and Olivia Wilde will be Chris Pine and Shia LaBeouf in currently unknown but leading roles in the film.

BAFTA nominated screenwriter Katie Silberman, who was one of the writers on Booksmart, is writing the Don’t Worry Darling screenplay based on a spec script by Shane and Carey Van Dyke.

The film went to auction earlier this year and was highly sought-after given the success of Wilde’s directorial debut Booksmart, with New Line winning the deal to finance and distribute.

Though we don’t know too many details yet about the story of Don’t Worry Darling, we do that the film will have both a powerful presence behind the camera and an impressive cast to tell the story in front of it.

Florence Pugh was nominated for a supporting actress Oscar and BAFTA Award for her role as Amy March in Greta Gerwig’s in Little Women. She recently starred in the critically-acclaimed Midsommar and the miniseries The Little Drummer Girl, and will likewise star in the next Disney/Marvel Black Widow.

Don’t Worry Darling will reunite Florence Pugh with her Outlaw King costar Chris Pine, who played her husband in that Netflix feature film. Pine will reprise his role as Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman 1984 and recently wrapped production on the action-thriller Violence of Action.

Rounding out the cast is Shia LaBeouf, who was widely praised for his autobiographical feature Honey Boy last year, which he wrote and starred in, and recently wrapped production on Pieces of a Woman.
