‘The Walking Dead’

Rick: “I don’t want to lie anymore.”

Carol: “You said you don’t want to take this place. And you don’t want to lie? Oh, sunshine, you don’t get both.”

After the knockout punch from Michonne, Rick finally comes to, and unbelievably he wants to have his cake and eat it too. He wants to take over the community, but he wants to do it 100% honestly. Carol brings him back to reality by letting him know his pipe dream is not about to happen.

‘Once Upon A Time’

Henry: “You can’t just unsavior the savior.”

Once Upon a Time throws viewers curveball after curveball each week. It is no wonder that Henry would feel the need to ask the obvious question. Can the title of Savior be taken away from Emma?

‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’

Commander Gonzales: ” I wish you were the man you were even two years ago – but by all accounts, you’re not.”

Coulson: “You didn’t know me then. And you don’t know me now.”

Commander Gonzales: “I know that Fury brought you back from the dead.”

Coulson: “Right. I didn’t ask for that, but I’ve come to appreciate the gesture.”

After other-S.H.I.E.L.D. invaded the base, Coulson had his first face-to-face with their leader, Robert Gonzales. The meeting was tense, fraught with misunderstandings and half-truths, but Coulson certainly managed to assert himself with his unflappable snark towards the dour Commander.

On page 2: ‘The Flash,’ ‘iZombie,’ and ‘Arrow’

‘The Flash’

James Jesse/Trickster: “I’ve had 20 years to come up with the perfect trick. It’s going to be my masterpiece, my Mona Lisa, my Breaking Bad — season 5. They gave me cable in prison so I’d stop killing the guards.”

After breaking out of prison, James Jesse reveals that he’s been planning the perfect crime/trick. He compares it to other perfect things, including a pop culture reference that he should not be able to make since he’s been in prison. Well, we find out why he was able to make it.

‘iZombie’

Ravi: “You know, many hitmen have an anti-social personality disorder? It’s what makes them good hitmen.”

Liv: “Yeah. Kind of makes me long for the days low blood sugar made me a little bitchy.”

As Liv and Ravi explore the location where a zombie was recently discovered, Ravi comments on Liv’s apathy for human life, and, in this case, human undead life.

‘Arrow’

Felicity: “Oh, I think your nano-tech deserves some of the credit. All I did was stick something in you. Do you think there will ever come a time when everything I say isn’t some weird double entendre?”

Ray: “I hope not. It’s one of your more charming traits.”

Ray thanks Felicity for going against hospital protocol, and injecting him with nanotech that ended up saving his life. Felicity, in her endearing way, sticks her foot in her mouth.

On page 3:’Supernatural,’ ‘Elementary,’ and ‘Grey’s Anatomy’

‘Supernatural’

Bobby Singer: “Cas told me what you’re doing for Dean and I’m not asking you to stop, but maybe going behind his back ain’t the best idea. Your brother, he can be stubborn, but I think he’d understand. I know it’s the life, doing a little bad so you can do a lot of good, but sometimes the bad’s real bad and the good, it can come at one hell of a price. I’m ain’t there on the ground and whatever you do, I know you’ll make the right choice. You’re a good man, Sam Winchester. One of the best. And I’m damn proud of you, son. I was content up here, but getting the call from you, it’s the happiest I’ve been in forever no matter what it costs. So stay safe, keep fighting and kick it in the ass.”

After helping Cas and Sam break Metatron out of Heaven’s prison, Bobby writes a beautiful letter to Sam. It’s pretty much sob-inducing because we miss Bobby with the boys as much as the boys miss Bobby.

‘Elementary’

Sherlock: “The dot com mavens will not rest until every word has been mangled. That’s ‘word’ with one ‘o’.”

Sherlock and Joan investigate a murder involving a ride share company that choose its name, Zooss, after the Greek god. Sherlock has some tolerance for the modern conveniences the 21st century techies have to offer, but language should remain off limits.

‘Grey’s Anatomy’

Derek: “When did that stop being enough? Saving someone’s life?”

Grey Sloan Memorial was abuzz about Derek’s return to surgery under his sister Amelia’s leadership. By the end of the episode it seemed that Derek’s return, regardless of his position in the hospital, was the best move for him and his family.
