Summer is almost over, but the heat waves and the need for air conditioning will remain well into the month of August. Many of you will start school again in the coming weeks, so why not use the last of your time off to end the summer in style? Below, we’ve included five films that are perfect for burning out the final days of summer in a blaze of glory.

A Goofy Movie

It’s a Disney classic that we can’t pass up! In this movie we’re introduced to Max, Goofy’s son, and shown a dynamic relationship between the two. It’s a hilarious adventure involving Big Foot and water-beds, and definitely a must-see for the summer.

Dirty Dancing

This is the story of a girl that finds love while on summer vacation with her family. Frances “Baby” Houseman takes interest in the dance instructor at Kellerman’s Resort, Johnny Castle, after stepping in to help with a dance demonstration when his partner is sidelined. It is during these training sessions that Johnny and Baby start to fall for each other. Twists and turns along the way make this romantic classic memorable in all the right ways.

Heavyweights

In the days before Zoolander and Meet the Fockers, Ben Stiller played Tony Perkis, a crazy ex-fitness instructor running a fat camp for kids. This summer classic revolves around the bankrupt camp that gets bought by Perkis and his antics to get the kids to lose weight.

Eurotrip

A trip to Europe can be found on mostly everybody’s bucket list; unless you live there! Regardless of where you live, however, this movie is bound to get you laughing. The main character, Scotty, takes a trip with his friends through Europe to visit his online pen-pal. Cue travel mistakes, nude beaches, absinthe and the hilarity ensues.

The Lizzie McGuire Movie

In the early 2000s the Lizzie McGuire show on Disney Channel was close to our hearts, so when they created a movie to end the series, we had to bring it on the list! Lizzie and Gordo take a trip to Rome in the summer before their freshman year of high school, and she gets mistaken as an Italian pop-star. Watch as she grows into the role and her animated alter-ego divulges her opinions about it all.

This is just a small taste of all the great summer movies out there! So tell us, which movies have you been watching to end your summer right?
