‘Once Upon a Time’ — All Aboard CaptainSwan
Passengers: Emma and Killian
Sunset Cruise: You know what they say, those bound in Darkness try to hide it from their significant other until the last possible moment when they need to sacrifice a witch to bring back light magic. Emma Swan made a sacrifice no one truly wanted when she saved Killian’s life by connecting him to Excalibur’s blade and birthing a new Dark One. Though brooding certainly works for this pirate, he is not thrilled with Emma’s selfish decision.
Ship Status: Mayday, mayday, mayday. Can we get an assist from all neighboring vessels! This ship is about to self destruct.
‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ — All Aboard FitzSimmons
Passengers: Leo Fitz and Jemma Simmons
Sunset Cruise: Let’s just cut to the chase here: They kissed!!! They KISSED!!! They finally KISSED!!! After two and a half seasons of med-pods and comas and Hydra-spying and war-fighting and Monolith-defeating, Simmons and Fitz finally kissed!
Ship Status: Keep in mind there are other vessels, but at the moment they are in way distant waters. Sure, Simmons also has romantic feelings for Will. Sure, Fitz has decided that their relationship is irreversibly cursed. But in spite of how much anger and frustration powered their first kiss, Fitz and Simmons are also the model of tenderness, and fans across the seven shipping seas have faith that they can make it work.
‘American Horror Story’ — All Aboard The Countess, Valentino, and Natasha
Passengers: The Countess, Valentino, and Natasha
Sunset Cruise: We now know why the Countess has a very specific type on AHS: Hotel. In the 1920s the Countess was a young actress who was welcomed into the marriage of two major movie stars, Valentino and Natasha. Valentino, who bears a striking resemblance to Tristan, inflicted the Countess with the blood virus to live with them forever.
Ship Status: Never mind the status of the ship, we’re not even sure it’s a cruise. It’s more like what would happen if the Jungle Cruise took a detour through the Haunted Mansion and then ran aground.
‘Empire’ — All Aboard Hakeem and Anika
Passengers: Hakeem and Anika
Sunset Cruise: Hakeem may be dropping the Lyon name, but Anika has a secret that will ensure Lyon legacy lives on far beyond Hakeem’s career. Triple checking the results, Anika discovers that her little affair with Hakeem resulted in a pregnancy. But Hakeem is smitten with someone else in his life which sets Anika on the warpath.
Ship Status: Hop on board the popcorn cruise. The only safe thing to do is sit back, eat popcorn, and watch the captains kill each other, because you know it’s going to happen. It will be way better than fireworks.
‘Grey’s Anatomy’ — All Aboard Jolex
Passengers: Jo and Alex
Sunset Cruise: Jo worked up the courage to finally tell Alex that she is no longer going to live in the shadow of his and Meredith’s friendship. Alex spent the episode pushing Jo away in order to spend some time with Meredith, but for a good reason. Alex was trying to get an engagement ring that Meredith has been keeping safe from Jo’s prying eyes. But as the winter finale came to a close, Jo did not give Alex an answer!
Ship Status:Can we have a neighing boat pick up Meredith, and take her on an extended break? We need less complications for this cruise to really launch.
‘The Walking Dead’ — All Aboard Abraham and Rosita
Passengers: Abraham and Rosita
Sunset Cruise: All of a sudden Abraham goes from the dude who has Daryl’s back, and the guy stopping Sasha’s suicide mission, to the guy who waxes philosophical, and follows up with a pickup line that’s as romantic as, “Ya wanna screw?”
Ship Status: Sasha isn’t jumping onboard just yet. Smart thing too, because Rosita may just come along firing all torpedoes.
